So 10x10x10 happened.
For those unaware of this particular project, essentially the animation students (2nd and up, although apparently optional for older students and alumni) had to make an animation a day for 10 days. We did however get a short break during the weekend to rest out poor hands or whatever else we used to make our short films. Well, I say short but some students instead collab'd together to make a couple of longer ones. For myself though...I will admit I definitely got stuck a few times. I had ideas which in theory and in my imagination sounded and looked wonderful, but trying to put it together simply became lacklustre. Although I do try to keep in mind that we did have limited time if we included the unfortunate essentially tasks each day expects such as sleeping and eating.
Out of my 10 films, I would say I was proud of....maybe 3 or 4 of them? 'Ophelia' for instance was a favourite, although very simple. It definitely helped when one of the composers chose to add music to that particular animation. It was Love.
Although it was really difficult, and exhausting (and a bit stressful to my anxiety since we technically had another project running), I am very much looking forward to doing it again next year as a third year.
